The state government is striving to resolve the issues of ex-servicemen and their dependents. For this, 16 district soldier welfare and rehabilitation offices are operational in the state under the Directorate of Soldier Welfare at the state level. The main objective of this department is to implement welfare and rehabilitation schemes for soldiers and their dependents, as well as to address issues related to the families of serving soldiers. This department implements rehabilitation and welfare schemes for former soldiers. The Director General of Rehabilitation in New Delhi coordinates primarily with the central government, state government, all three branches of the army, and professional organizations to carry out welfare activities.
